The TNTW Chakra Guide

Chakras are centers of energy within the human body. The word "chakra" comes from the Sanskrit language and translates to "wheel" or "disk." There are typically seven main chakras, each located at a specific point along the spine, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. According to traditional spiritual belief, each chakra corresponds to a different aspect of human experience and is associated with certain physical, emotional, and spiritual qualities. It is said that when all of the chakras are balanced and functioning properly, a person experiences a sense of harmony and well-being in all areas of their life. Working with the chakras, can bring increased feelings of relaxation, focus, and emotional balance. Here is an exploration of the seven major chakras:
  1. Root Chakra (Muladhara) - Located at the base of the spine, the root chakra represents our foundation and grounding. It is associated with survival, stability, and physical needs such as food, shelter, and safety.
  2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) - Located just below the navel, the sacral chakra represents our creativity, sexuality, and ability to experience pleasure. It is associated with emotions such as passion, desire, and joy.
  3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) - Located at the upper abdomen, the solar plexus chakra represents our personal power, self-esteem, and confidence. It is associated with the ability to take action and make decisions.
  4. Heart Chakra (Anahata) - Located in the center of the chest, the heart chakra represents our ability to love and connect with others. It is associated with compassion, forgiveness, and emotional balance.
  5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) - Located at the throat, the throat chakra represents our ability to communicate and express ourselves. It is associated with speaking truth, self-expression, and creativity.
  6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) - Located between the eyebrows, the third eye chakra represents our intuition and ability to perceive beyond the physical realm. It is associated with inner wisdom, insight, and clarity.
  7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) - Located at the top of the head, the crown chakra represents our connection to the divine or spiritual realm. It is associated with enlightenment, spiritual awareness, and transcendence.
It is important to note that while the above chakras are recognized as the seven major chakras, that other lesser known chakras exist. A few of which are highlighted below:
  1. Zeal Point Chakra (Alta Major) -  Located at the back of the head, helps to activate the pineal gland and can enhance intuition, psychic abilities, spiritual vision, and deepened understanding of life purpose and spiritual path.
  2. Soul Star Chakra (Transpersonal Chakra) - Located above the head, the soul star chakra represents our connection to our higher self and the divine. It is associated with the ability to receive guidance and wisdom from the spiritual realm
  3. Earth Star Chakra (Transpersonal Chakra) - Located below the feet, the earth star chakra represents our connection to the physical world and the earth. It is associated with grounding, stability, and a sense of belonging in the world.
Working with and balancing these chakras through practices such as meditation, yoga, and energy healing can help to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
