Embodiment Practices

We can create a healthier relationship with the mind by tapping into the body.  Embodiment is the practice of actively and energetically being, feeling, and experiencing our bodies.


Truthfully, we all have had moments where we are disembodied and moving through life without connection to our surroundings. If you’ve ever “zoned out” and mindlessly gone through the motions during activities such as driving, scrolling through social. These are instances where we’ve essentially checked out of our body and are floating in a disconnected state.

It is important to have practices that help us to connect and feel into the body. Yoga, dance, gardening, breathwork, and martial arts are all great ways of maintaining an embodied state. These practices help us to return to a state of wholeness by coming back to our body and also strengthening the mind and conscious states.

In an embodied state, we experience:

  • The ability to tune into our body’s wisdom for answers rather than seeking solutions outside ourselves
  • The ability to feel our truth via heightened intuition and energy. By tapping into our authenticity, we trust ourselves more and live as an embodiment for our beliefs
  • An increased sense of liberation and creativity
  •  A state of grounding, anchoring and rooted truth
  • A deeper connection to the Earth
