Classes are taught with modifications with an emphasis on body autonomy to encourage practitioners to feel more comfortable in their individualized practice, even if they may be in a group setting. Our flow yoga classes are perfect for those looking for a challenging and invigorating workout to improve overall strength and balance. Hatha flow offers a balanced mix of poses and includes both breathwork (pranayama) and meditation. YogaHour is a specialized alignment-based yoga class with specific cues designed to maximize flow and form. All flow classes can be adjusted to allow for slower or faster paced practices.
Yin classes are designed as a slower more contemplative practice that focuses on improving mobility and flexibility though specific poses that are held for extended periods (typically 3-5 minutes). The practice is designed to target the joints and deep connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and spine in order to strengthen and lengthen them. This is a great class to help to increase circulation through the body's energy pathways, improve flexibility and posture, release trauma in the body, and encourage mindfulness. Yin is a perfect compliment to balance more vigorous yoga practices or activities like running, cycling, and cross-training.
Aerial classes are a unique and fun way to reinvigorate your practice and improve flexibility and strength utilizing a supportive hammock, which eases tension in the spine and joints, builds core and upper body strength, increases flexibility and balance, and allows for deeper access to traditional poses. Available in both flow and restorative formats.
Meditation is a powerful tool that can help you find inner peace and balance in your life. We offer a variety of meditation and breathing techniques and practices to help you reduce stress, improve focus, and cultivate mindfulness. Meditation can be offered as a session or in combination with yoga and energy services.
